Should I submit my website to Search Engines?

You shouldn't. Search Engines likes Google will index you must faster, and your link will have higher value, if it crawls your site naturally. What we always recommend is to do a Digg on your sites and they usually get indexed within a few days. Never submit your site's to any search engine at all. Just build links and wait, you'll be better off!

Will changing titles and metatags hurt site?

Hack attack silences Twitter, Facebook

Twitter and Facebook, two of the Web's hottest hangouts, suffered service problems Thursday, raising speculation that they had come under a pre-planned coordinated attack by hackers. Twitter, the popular micro-blogging service, was knocked down by a malicious attack that prevented people from accessing its website for several hours Thursday.

Facebook members saw delays logging in and posting to their online profiles. The social networking site is working with Twitter and Google Inc ( GOOG - news - people ) to determine whether there was foul play, a person familiar with the company said.

The Twitter outage follows a wave of similar cyber attacks in July that disrupted access to several high-profile U.S. and South Korean websites, including the White House site. South Korea's spy agency said at the time that North Korea might have been behind the attacks.

Twitter co-founder Biz Stone said on Twitter's blog that the site was the victim of a denial-of-service attack, a technique in which hackers overwhelm a website's servers with communications requests.

Yahoo! local is Closing Down!!

Free Yahoo! Local web site program is closing on October 26, 2009.

According to yahoo , "To bring the best web hosting service to all of our small business customers, we have decided to focus on our more powerful web hosting service, Yahoo! Web Hosting, offered by Yahoo! Small Business."

On October 26, 2009, your free Yahoo! Local web site will no longer appear on the Web, and you will no longer be able to access your site data and images. Yahoo Will also remove the link to your free web site from your Yahoo! Local listing.

What You Need to Do

If you'd like to move your web site, or save the images and other information you've posted on your site, you need to act now by choosing one of the following options:

Move your site to Yahoo! or any other Web Hosting.

Download your site to your own computer.

With your pages and images saved offline, you can re-create your site with another hosting provider.

(To quickly download your pages, visit your Local listing and click the web site link to visit your site. Right-click on each page and choose Save Page As... from the menu that appears. Choose a location on your computer to save your files, then click OK or Save.)

North Korea is Hacking the World!!

North Korea runs a cyberwarfare unit that tries to hack into U.S. and South Korean military networks to gather confidential information and disrupt service, a news report said Tuesday.

The North's military has expanded the unit, staffing it with about 100 personnel, mostly graduates of a Pyongyang university that teaches computer skills, Yonhap news agency reported, citing an intelligence agency it didn't identify.

South Korea's Defense Ministry said it is aware that Pyongyang has been training hackers in recent years but did not provide details and had no other comment.

The report came a day after the Defense Ministry said it had signed an accord with the Pentagon to strengthen their cooperation in fighting against cyber threats. The ministry statement, however, did not identify any specific cyber threats, such as from North Korea.
